All on the Lookout

The artwork centers on a covey of five adult Gambel's quail perched gracefully along a sprawling, dead mesquite branch, while two tiny, delicately detailed quail chicks look for food among the desert stones down below. rue to Trevor Swanson's signature style, every element is painted with crisp precision. From the distinct, teardrop topknots and layered feathers of the birds to the sharp needles covering the heavy prickly pear cactus pads, the realism breathes life into the environment.
