Ritual in the Andes
The Escalon ado, shown in this weaving, represents the railway platform, a place prepared for sowing and harvesting abundantly. It is the one place that is used in preparation for the collection of fruit, and where rituals of Mother Earth’s blessings are invoked for her children (men). These rituals include music and special dancers that are shared with the land, offering the best that man gives for happiness.
